CHRIS HEAVEN To Contribute DEEP PURPLE Cover To BLACKMORE Tribute CD

June 15, 2004

Italian hard rock vocalist Chris Heaven (EDGE OF TIME, REDLYNX) is recording a cover of DEEP PURPLE's "Soldier of Fortune" for an upcoming tribute to Ritchie Blackmore being released through Finland's Lion Music. Joining Heaven on guitars will be Max Arminchiardi.

In other news, Heaven and fellow original STATE OF GRACE member Luca Polich (guitar) have reformed the group with drummer Joe Rimondi and an as-yet-unannounced bassist. The band, which was originally formed in 1995 out of the ashes of REDLYNX, will reportedly have a "modern sound" in the vein of BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION/VELVET REVOLVER.
